Are trusts still a good idea?

I am finally jumping into the class lll world. I am buying a few suppressors to start. I was thinking of using a trust so I could add my sons in the future. They are only 12 and 15 so it won’t be for a long time. Advise?

My personal view is I would still do a trust for NFA since it is the way that more than one person can legally possess the item. I your case, ten years from now both your sons would be free to take the NFA items to the range without you present or take them to a new location if you wanted them to be the one who had possession (with appropriate notification to ATF of course of the new permenent location).

Fatdog echoed my thoughts exactly. This is why I have a Trust for my NFA items.

I do Form 4 individual. Trusts are just headaches, IMO. Your situation will dictate your need though.
