To each their own. It works really well for me.

All depends on application and expectation.
I want to be able to hit 2 MOA targets with confidence out to 500 meters in up to 20mph wind with 5.56, which makes a horizontal reference at relevant drop holds highly valued.

The 1-4 S&B SD I’m upgrading from has a 2ndFP w/ the #7 reticle, very clean & uncluttered.

The 1-8 LPVO that I end up w/ will also have a 2ndFP & a sim. reticle as well.

I'm happy the update only turned out to be a bit of weight loss. Nice for new buyers, but I don't mind the weight that much.

I already have one, but this was a nice review and nice photography.

Concur on the throw lever, the power adjustment is very tight.

I would just like to update my sentiment here. Either my dickbeaters have somehow increased their strength on their own, or maybe I just got used to the adjustment ring, but it's not that tough. I no longer consider the throw lever a must-have.

@CS Tactical Have you been able to compare the eyebox of the Gen II-E to the original Gen II and the Nightforce 1-8 ATACR. I know eyebox is very subjective. I was impressed with the Gen II's eyebox and am interested if is has changed in the E version.
