Ah...gotcha. Yeah, I've been pretty lucky to have owned and still own some knives by some great makers. The most valuable are the ones from makers I consider close friends. (Ken Erickson, Jerry Halfrich and a few others.)

The ones that were worth the most money, I've sold off in the past year or two...such as knives from Tony and Reese Bose.

Of course I could still buy a nice 4WD vehicle if I sold the remainder, but I'm in no rush.

This khukuri is one of, or perhaps my favorite. It was designed by my late friend, Yvsa Gigagei, a very proud Native American (Cherokee) of OK. It's called the YCS (Yvsa Cherokee Special).

Now you know my dirty little secret. (It's a scythe cult thing. )

I used to go to this Church that and the back area had become overgrown with thistles and all kinds of weeds. They had a day where they asked folks to come out and help get it cleaned up. People brought out all kinds of mowers, weed whackers and stuff like that. The best thing they had was one old scythe someone had brought out.

Case Hobo (so far I can't bring myself to get it dirty) and a Case Folding Hunter.
The sheath that came with the Hunter isn't very good, I'd like to find someone to make one.
    Where to get those?

The Hobo I bought at Vances in Columbus. The Folding Hunter came from Knifecenter.com

I've always meant to buy an HI khukri - I think Bill's wife still runs the company? Is the quality still there? I assume it is, but it's always good to have an independent confirmation.

I need another knife like I need a hole in the head, I had, at last count (several years ago) about a hundred knives. That was actually down from what I'd had before (about 200), I had a huge collection of collectible pocket knives made prior to 1960 that I acquired over about 15 years as a kid. It was stolen from a storage locker one summer when I was away working during college.
