Folding knives (or anything sharp) pic thread

The Kershaw/Emerson E-train is an excellent proxy for any of the waved live blades. And for $25-30, it’s hard to beat. I used one recently at a Systema camp, and was the only one to ‘successfully’ run a folding knife. Everyone else either used big fixed trainers, or tried and failed to use conventional folders.

Found this guy in the back of a drawer. I was using this in college, 25 years ago

I've never taken it apart. There are no visible screws, save for the three holding on the pocket clip. And all I've ever done to clean it is to blast it out with water and compressed air, and sometimes brake or carb cleaner. When it was used for something really nasty like fixing a shitpipe or scraping a dead rat from the rafters, I'd wash it, then throw it in a tin can with some water, and boil the heck out of it, then soak it in bleach.

Decided I would rather have one really nice knife with an incredible lifetime warranty than a bunch of knives sitting in a safe.

My dad gave me a small Sebenza with carbon fiber handles as a present for getting my first "big boy job" earlier this year. I was a little wary at first carrying a knife worth 8x as much as the Spyderco Delica that got me through college but I've grown to like it.

Be careful not to pinch the washers during re-assembly. Don’t ask me how I know 😬
