    PPQ M2 slide comparison - 2014 vs 2016

While cleaning my mother's PPQ this holiday I compared her older PPQ mfg 2014 with a newer PPQ mfg 2016 she'll soon have as a backup. I noticed some slide, striker and barrel changes. Looks like striker went to cast/MIM. Next time I see her I'll have to see if the barrels are interchangeable due to the square vs radius, detail "d".

Jpeg compression futzed up the images. Here's a better look at d.

Also the new circular cut in the slide on the left side of the pic is interesting. Quite a bit changes in a two year period

This has been discussed over on the Waltherforum site. The slide+barrel can be swapped onto different frames. However, some barrels won't work with older slides. Apparently, the new version started with the serial FCA0001.

This is a great start to a thread: "While cleaning my mother's PPQ this holiday...."

    Thanks,
