My carry pistols only have factory available options, with the exception of sights. I’m primarily carrying my Wilson 92 BT and a SIG P239 for those smaller days. I’m almost finished vetting my 92 Compact, which will replace the P239. I’m very happy with a D spring, extended mag release, G conversion and skeletonized hammer, all factory parts. These carry Berettas don’t need anything else.

My guns are a mix of the two.
VP9's are both stock except the TruGlo TFX Pro's and the Talon decals. Had a "match" trigger spring kit in one for a bit. Took it back out.
The P30sk V1 is bone stock.
The P2000sk V2 has the HK45 mag release and was resprung to a V1. The P2000 V2 is about to get the same treatment as the sk. Both are going to get new sights when I make up my mind what to get.
    Edit: J-frame is bone stock.

In my opinion, there are a few worthwhile upgrades, but excessive tinkeritus sure makes it scary to buy a used gun. Stipple this, mill that. Sparkly red triggers. Sheesh....

I thought it was the year of the dog.

I doubt the percentage of people who carry modified guns is that large to begin with.

To the point of this discussion, I can keep all shots in a B-zone at 25 with my non-stock carry guns that are sized in a 26/19 ballpark, within a time frame that can be measured with something that is not a sun dial. I can't do it that reliably with 26 or 19 themselves if they are set stock. I presume I can spend more time on learning how to press stock Glock trigger better, or go back to carrying a 17, or full Beretta, or 1911 but I am trying to understand WhyTF I am going to do it and I keep coming up short. Who's gonna be impressed and what would I win?

With Christmas around the corner, @GJM cleverly starts a thread that may cause some to rethink their purchases, followed by some impulse selling on the forum.

    It's pure genius!
