Ain't nothing wrong with a high grade .45 Colt single action. Anyway, that desk gonna have more than one drawer, right? At least put a single action in one even if its black powder.

My new house has an “office” on the first floor. It has become my office/man cave. My wife banished all my animal mounts to the cave when I tried to put them in the family room. So far it has two old lazyboy chairs, some old file cabinets, a gun safe and my great grandfathers roll top desk. I have an “el Tigre” Winchester 92 copy for a wall hanger. My idea of a desk gun would be a deactivated S&W model 10 to dry fire for fun. My grandfather kept a broken H&R revolver on a nail near the door. He told me if he ever came home and it was missing he knew he had been burglarized as soon as he came through the door. I like the desk gun idea. Along with the bourbon idea. Long guns in an umbrella stand is a good one too but not practical for me

HK P7. You can throw it in a drawer with the chamber Loaded, and not worry about it. Plus it has style, and like a good stock, will continue to go up in value.

I've got a 1924 Model 11 (last year the safety was inside the trigger guard) for the $150. The barrel had a dent about 8 inches from end so I had it trimmed to 18 and a half. I was going to SBS it but decided it wasn't in the budget because of Mass laws, in addition to federal laws.
One day...
