I don't know about retired LEO, off duty LEO's to notify security at the metal detectors and sign in with the security supervisor (name, phone # and seat). You can call operations 214-665-4809 and ask to get transferred to security.

At my age I hate to ask stupid questions about guns. Can somebody explain the concern about cops carrying weapons into this area?
you should call the security office. I am not in Texas but my local arena lets active LEOs carry during games and events, but does not allow retired LEOs to carry. I called the security office and they told me the process and the restrictions.
