Took my boy to the bike shop with me this morning to get some odd crank noise taken care of (bottom bracket was loose, they fixed me right up) and then we hit the trails for his second time. Really loving this thing. Wednesday was my 40th bday and the wife and kids hooked me up with some PNW Grips and Pedals. These make a huge difference over stock!

I found out about some easier trails a little south of us and last Saturday took all 3 kids for a ride while my wife hosted a baby shower. What a great time! Getting these kids to wait til Christmas for new bikes is becoming more of a challenge!

I've been riding off and on since 2006, much more serious and steady now that I live in CO and have REAL MOUNTAINS to ride on! Texas mtb riding was fine, but sustained climb followed by sustained descent is the way to go in my book.
Ticked off (poorly) a drop I've been eyeing for 2 years (thumbnail of this video):
