    The Ammunition Picture Thread

Did a search and didn’t find anything, so here goes…

Let’s see what you have! Extra points for artistic setup and background. This is everything from .22LR to .500 Nitro Express (does that exist?), Super Vel to Speer G2, and and M193 to Mk262.

Here’s a blast from just before my past. This round was phased out about a year or so before I started, but it still shows up in duty turn-in occasionally to this day.

I've got some of that but in .44 Magnum. Unfortunately, there's no box. It's slated to be shot the next time I take the OMSBH to the range so I can use the brass.

My avatar pic is some of Tom Burczynski's original .38 /.357 offerings of the Hydra-Shok design before it was acquired by Federal Ammunition. The first "post & cavity" load offering was a full wadcutter (.38 Spec) and was simply branded Scorpion. For a start-up ammo company, I felt like the number of SKU's might have been ambitious and as it turns out, most of the various loadings did not make it to market under the Federal label.

The jacketed loads were referred to as the Copperhead and Hunter, and the all lead bullet offerings were called the UPL (Urban Police Load).

These metal penetrating loads were made from the 30's up through the 60's by several makers.

Box markings; “These cartridges are adapted to Colt Automatics and Thompson Sub-Machine Guns.”
