    25 yd Test

Inspired by the test variations thread, I was curious to see what I could do with it at 25 yds. My goal was to shoot a 90 or better in 10 seconds or less.
Start Position: standing at 25 yd line, hands at sides, pistol holstered.
On the beep draw and fire 10 rounds to the B8. Score the rings and beat the buzzer (10 second par).

As you can see, I struggled a bit with sight alignment on both runs making rounds impact low. Clearly this isn’t the score I was hoping for, but if I can get my sight picture correct, I think I can get there. I’d love to see some other folks try this out.

Indeed! I also think it is an extremely relevant test, because it forces you to shoot with a high level of precision, with time pressure. I didn’t have a stinkin’ B8, so I shot it on the head. Looks like only nine shots on the head, in 9.56. No idea what this would be on a B8.

This was the end of my session, so I repeated it with the eight cartridges I had left, without worrying about time. Time wasn’t much different, but the accuracy was a tad bit better without worrying about time.

This test is part of every range session for me and has been before the cool kids made it a thing. It's an excellent combination of factors.
