This has not been my personal experience.

I'm a bigger guy and I carry 3:00 or 3:30. I can carry a 6" N-frame concealed. Slide length is largely irrelevant. Grip length matters quite a bit when I start to move. Too long a grip can get caught in a suit jacket vent, is much more noticeable when I bend over, etc.
Sorta around sometimes for some of your shitty mod needs.

I think I am mostly an oddity here but I have very little problem concealing a 17 size grip, but the slide of a 17 just doesn't work for me in the appendix position. I have learned to make due and still carry a 17 but its never become comfortable. I love the 19 length slide but the grip on a 19 doesn't work for me. Too short. For this reason, 19X intrigues me greatly. I already have one on preorder. As an aside, I am not a big guy but still am able to conceal the 17 frame without trouble ( with the right holster, JMCK with a wing).

My blue label dealer says it $585. I like the $533 price a lot better.

My Gen 5 Glock 19 will shoot to a 1” square at 5 yards, which for me is pretty good, and I wonder whether some of that is related to:

    - barrel construction/rifling?
    - barrel to slide fitment?
    All of the above.

    Also factor in:
    Tighter SAAMI spec chamber
Tighter lead in to the rifling
    Recessed muzzle crown

I've seen some ridiculous tight groups with these barrels and guns.

Thanks a bunch. If you can’t really comment on the details, no problem.
The barrel wear is normal. Tighter tolerances.

Regarding being able to conceal the 19X and mag compatibility. The gun was designed per the MHS contract and met all of the requirements. Not really designed as a concealment gun. Plenty of options for that purpose out there. The beauty of the capitalistic society. Highpoints to $5,000 1911's. 'Murica!

You ever feel like some days you may have had too much time to think. That is today.

I have been pondering making my g19.5 into a g26l.5. I really like the g19x. So naturally my thought process is. Certain laws are about to change (hopefully). And if so I will be able to carry at work. But a g26 sized grip is about max size of a carry gun. My g19.5 is a rds gun. G19x would be rmr gun and g26l would be primary ccw. I know colors are different lmao.

Does this sound insane? I hate to sell the g19.5 rmr2 to buy a g26 and a g19x. Then ship g19x off to get slide milled for rds.

Thanks. I haven’t shot mine off a rest but I may give that a shot tomorrow.

I appreciate the info on the smilies. After the first range visit, they had me a little worried but I’ve not seen them change, really. I snapped a pic early and will compare when I get to a thousand rounds here shortly.

    Appreciate the input.
