My wife says if someone secretly transplanted a few of these Montana bears to the Alaska bear viewing areas, that Chaos and Killer would really surprise those used to Fluffy and Mommy.

I've seen a few bears in the WA Cascades and Olympics. They don't like people very much. Best just stay away. If they feel threatened they either run away or jump you.
I was hiking in the Olympics years ago and had a sow and 2 cubs near our camp. We packed up and moved as fast as we could. I don't need to hang around so I can post some video.In Washington state, the only recorded fatal black bear attack on a human was reported in 1974. Not to derail the thread, but does it look like that young bear has had something constraining it around its neck ..... or am I just seeing things?

Wow, that one dog is get-in-the-bears-face-psycho-dog. He seems to be able to stay out of reach, but hes cutting it pretty close.
