Not another dime.
Picked up a Security Six ordered from Kings the other day, first time I ordered from them and everything went smoothly so I'd happily recommend them. A few days after I placed my order I got a call from my local FFL that my revolver had arrived. I took a much needed break from school work, filled out a 4473, and after NICS did its thing, did a quick cleaning and headed to the range.
The Security Six fit my hand better than the GP-100 I'm used to, and the trigger was surprisingly decent - a pound or so lighter than I expected initially though the pull seems to increase a tad before the break. I have a bad habit of anticipating & trying to stage double action triggers (I blame one particule GM for creating that bad habit during basic pistol quals) and this trigger made that almost impossible. My first few shots of .38spc at 10 yards went super wide (I think I missed the paper with 3 of them...) so, embarrassed, I brought the target in to 7 yards and adjusted my grip. My next shot hit the bullseye dead on (first time I've ever done that!) and I shot a dozen more or so rounds and was happy with the result. I used the rest of my ammo on a target with different numbered and colored shapes (not sure what those are called, discretionary or maybe transitional targets?) and was happy with how the sights tracked. All in all, a good morning at the range and a fun alternative to my usual Glock or Sig. Now I'm looking for a model 66 to add to my collection next...
Prime example of user error. This revolver is clearly capable of great accuracy. Any ideas on the marking electro-penciled into the side? Consensus from the retired LE folks working at my FFL was that it was too long to be a badge number, a strange place to put an inventory control number, and unlikely to be an evidence number.
A bit of wear, but less than I expected especially for what I paid.
Adjustable sights, work surprisingly well.
