A friend gave me some new (old) shoes for my Model 14:
He was personally offended that the gun was wearing Goodyears when I bought it.

If we have to march off into the next world, let us walk there on the bodies of our enemies.
Good friend. They are worth hanging on to (the friend, not the 'Goodyears').

My sixth lifetime K, fourth currently in the safe, first stainless. 64-6, $475 OTD. Very smooth, seems to have been shot very little.
I got it for a spare for the revolver roundup, so I’d have one I could be less concerned about if the weather is unfavorable. I plan to mostly shoot the 15-4 for the roundup as it is one of my favorites of all time, but I think I’m really going to like this one, too.
I’ve had a 3” 64 since the beginning of time, I bought it new when I was 21. I also have my grandfather’s K-22.
I have been idly watching for a round butt 4” 10, 13, 64 or (preferably) 65 for awhile, some day one will pop up at the right time. That 4” 64 is gorgeous.

While waiting at the LGS to get someone at the state firearms unit to give the go-ahead.

What are your initial impressions? My LGS has a range, so I shoot while waiting for the background check.
Timing is good, no endshake to speak of. Barrel is true to the frame. Cylinder gap seems tight. The trigger pull is heavy, but not objectionable.
The next step is to open it up and check the internals. I’ll lightly grease the wearing surfaces. I might make it to the range this week.
