    Smtih and Wesson Model 68

    Smith and Wesson made the model 68 for California highway Patrol and L.A.P.D. It is model 66 frame with a 38 special cylinder and longer barrel shank needed due to shorter cylinder.
    L.A.P.D. officers could carry the gun after it was converted to double action only.
    This gun has been converted and wears John Hurst grips.

    Nice. I don't believe that they made a lot of them.

    The part time guy at the LGS looking at an M66 just received a new M19 PC Carry Comp. It looked fine, but wouldn’t fire more than a few rounds before locking up. Dave Olhasso was coming by tonight, and he was supposed to decide if it’s worth fixing. It looks great, but that’s not what counts.
