OK, I'm a K-Frame Addict. So Sue Me.

    A new-to-me Model 15-3:

It went on GB for about what I'd think of paying for a similar Model 10. It's not a collector's item: The grips are wrong and I wouldn't be surprised if the bluing has been touched up along the barrel. However, the gun is in very good shape as far as the mechanicals go. Timing is excellent, there's no appreciable endshake, the bore is bright and the guts are all good.

The bottom of the grips have two drilled holes, as though an agency/company property tag was once screwed on.

I'll admit that it took me a little bit to push the button on an online sale after last March's fiasco, but I'm glad that I did.

I feel ya. I like K-frames so much I want to buy a 2.75" 66-8 to tinker with. Looks like a fun piece you got there.

Nice looking piece Stephanie. I recently picked up a 4 inch 15-3 myself at a local show. Saw the guy talking to a dealer and when they were done I asked him about it. It is mechanically sound with a little more blue wear than yours. I checked all the usual things and paid him what he was asking, which was a very fair price. It came with a pair of Thailand copies of S&W targets in new condition which will be sold.
Apparently the four inch .38 special guns just don't get a lot of people excited which fortunately keeps the prices low for people like us that do appreciate them.
Enjoy yours as I know I will mine.

Sorry, can't do pictures right now.

If that was the only handgun I owned, I wouldn't feel impoverished.

Instead of "addict" maybe you're a "conservator of heritage firearms?"
I was into 10mm Auto before it sold out and went mainstream, but these days I'm here for the revolver and epidemiology information.

Love Model 15s have had a love for them since I was issued one in 1965 by USAF. Never fired one I didn't like. Lester P stated the truth of it quite well.

None of us really needs more than three guns...of each type we own.

Nice gun- I checked out the used gun case a bit earlier today, bit still shooting my new Ruger happily. That picture makes a 15-3 hard to resist!

Very nice. K-frame 38s and 32s are special and deserve loving homes.
