Yes, they are. Lets talk about Butterfield a minute. I've known that man since 1995 when he was a Superior Court Judge in Wilson/Nash/Edgecombe Counties, which is where he lives. I had a few cases in his court ranging from DWI to Murder. He was a solid Judge with his rulings...which usually went for LE. However, since he was elected he has been a constant disappointment. I'm so glad I don't live in his area but I know many who do. I fail to understand how the man gets elected. And of course he replaced Frank Balance...who ended us serving 4 years Fed time after being in office for about 18 months for mail fraud and conspiracy. I think I mentioned it here before but his son, Garey, was also charged and convicted over that investigation. I was so happy to watch two US Marshals come into court that day and literally arrest him off the bench. I only wish my Nextel had a camera. Garey has since been disbarred...twice (once in 2007 & again in 2015)...wtf?

All that to say they are all crooked as a snake in the grass. The further away from local politics someone gets the more I distrust them.

Somehow I can't see him making shit worse.
It'll be interesting. Trump is full bore in Israel's camp on pretty much everything. Carter is an outspoken detractor of Israel and supporter of the Palestinians (I am a detractor too in some ways, and a supporter in others.. Israel may be an ally, but why in the hell do we send them billions a year in foreign aid -- in some years about as much as all other countries combined? Why do a good percentage of our "power of the purse" congress have dual citizenship with Israel? Conflict of interest? -- THAT is my problem, so not necessarily anti-Israel, or pro-Palestinian, but rather anti "Israel welfare").

It'll be interesting to see if that comes up and what the Propaganda Machine does with it.

I think we're entering the era of the celebrity candidate. Trumps' TV show gave him better name recognition to those who pay no attention to politics. Imagine a potential 2020 Presidential race where Trump is running against Oprah.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is mulling a 2020 run as well.

I suppose the real threat is if one of those liberal, billionaire CEO-types from companies like Amazon, Target, or Apple throws their hat in the ring as an independent.
Mark Cuban, owner of the Dallas Mavericks, will likely run. I put the odds of that happening at about 80 percent.

You guys are all forgetting about Facebook. There is already rumors of a Zuckerburg run. Ponder that. I keep getting adverts in my feed for following that guy, and he already has something like 96mil followers without me.

    You're welcome.

Time to open the pool to a different group of unqualified candidates. Why limit it to just charisma-free party insider hacks?

Bumbling Uncle Donald and the 535 blind mice are an embarrassment that pales only in comparison to the previous administration.
