    The State of Trump...

Forgive me PF as it has been longer than I'd have liked since my last confession here, so be gentle.

I just figured I'd see how everyone is doing in a nation that is at least slowing down the infringement of freedom. I hope we're all having quite a fit over the establishment vs the populist, classical liberal that is Trump. Or whatever you'd like to call him.

Well, that ought to get ya'll started and with any luck, I'll try and post a new holster review soon. Sorry @JRCHolsters! My weekends have been for sh*t. Especially since @TGS was nice enough to come by and train us up on Stop The Bleed coursework.

I see some positives on the Federal Level. The POTUS can be an ass and I cringe at times at his tweats, but he is keeping the statists apoplectic and is no doubt screwing with their OODA loop. The fact that old guard Republicans like the Bushes and McCain have turned on him only serves to support what I sadly suspected prior to the election. It is interesting to note that the internet and social media (despite being run by billionaires who are clearly on the side of the establishment) has seemed to play prominently in the Western trend of electing populist politicians and voting down establishment treaties. One of the primary means of control of information - the mainstream media has been neutered and in many ways discredited. The second means of control - the entertainment industry is imploding on itself as more and more people are turning it off. From a purely academic point of view - it is an amazing time in Geopolitics.

None of that matters for me however. I live in a state that is controlled by 100% hoplophobic socialist wanabe statists who pick and choose from the bill of rights. Short of a showdown between state and federal forces (I will be happy to link up with the 101st when the land to enforce shall issue in San Mateo Country) - I don't think Sacramento will ever loosen their zeal for supporting their agenda.

California and many other states appear to take the Chinese Restaurant approach to the law and its enforcement...

I find comfort in not reading about the POTUS and changing the channel if it's about him. I do this to avoid tweet type cringing, and yes I voted for him and am happy that he won.

At least for the time being gun rights are relatively safe. But I doubt Trump will get reelected and then all bets are off. There is a decent chance however that over the next 3 years the dems will try so hard to throw a wrench in the works that it will keep fresh in everyone's minds why they voted for the other side in the first place. In the mean time I'm stocking up on mags.

    1) Not Hillary!

    2) See 1).

No, seriously, he’s not my favorite guy and damn he shoots off his Twittermouth to much, but I’m fine with him.

Tillerson and Mattis were great choices. Kelley is going to be phenomenal. I don’t know about Gorsuch yet, not being a big SCOTUS expert. So far so good for me.

Clinton, Pelosi, Schumer, Warren, and the MSM seem to be doubling down on the Progressive SJW agenda. Frankly, I think America is just tired of that shit and Trump is going to be re-elected in a landslide.

I know he’s an asshole, but hey, he’s our asshole.

It still makes me smile to remember election night and how the liberals just melted down.

It’s not Hillary and I don’t follow the news that well. I focus on raising my 2 year old boys and we are marching towards debt free and being more prepared for it all.

I work for the federal government, many of my co workers are freaked out but presidents and their agendas come of go.

I like what I hear from Mattis and Kelly.

I'll be curious to see what he and his cohort have in store for federal employees and retirees. (But then I've been an interested observer of such since 1977 when I joined the federal gov't during the Carter administration.)
