Am I the only one that thinks it's funny as hell that MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell should give lectures on politeness and how to treat people?

I didn't know who O'Donnell is, but I found he was born in 1951, which made him eligible for the draft. (The last birth year for which soldiers were actually drafted was 1953, but a lot were drafted from the class of 1951). Yet, oddly I can find no record of military service. He did, however, go to Harvard (class of 1974) and was a screenwriter and actor.
So obviously he knows a lot about military service and having kids sent home in boxes.
He also has a very definite political view. As he has said,"I am not a progressive. I am not a liberal who is so afraid of the word that I had to change my name to 'progressive.' Liberals amuse me. I am a socialist. I lie to the extreme left, the extreme left of mere liberals. . . . I have been calling myself a socialist ever since I first read the definition of socialism in the first economics class I took in college."
So obviously he is a guy who is hugely morally superior to General Kelly--who volunteered for the Marines in 1970 (during the Vietnam war and the same year our boy Larry went off to brave the horrors of Harvard), was commissioned through OCS, and who served his country in uniform for over 45 years.
Yep, I'd say that Larry is the kind of moral paragon who should be lecturing guys like Kelly and calling them racists.

I have the utmost respect for Gen. Kelly and the service and commitment he's made to our country. The loss of his son is a sacrifice no one should suffer. I admire him for stepping forward and protecting the president for whom he serves. His presentation was flawless. Until he spoke of the FBI building's dedication and mentioned the agents gunned down by drug dealers. I cringed and hoped that no one noticed the mistake he'd made in referring to the killers, Platt and Matix, as drug dealers. They, in fact, were bank robbers and were quite prolific in their enterprise. The liberal media is always looking for even the slightest imperfection from within the current administration and I abhor handing them one. Thankfully, I think they missed it.
