I could not have phrased it better. Personal aggrandizement over honoring our fallen dead. Shameful, heartless, and unforgivable.
I was glad 1) General Kelly bought up that it is 1% (before I retired, it was said to be less than 1/2 of 1%...I dunno as I never ran the stats) and most of America don't know them, or even know people who know them. 2) This politician tried to politicize a previous ceremony dedicated to fallen federal agents with an, "I got the money for this building from Obama." However, General Kelly and crew never made a show of it, just found it distasteful and allowed her to show her ass publicly. Naturally, there was no media coverage, and they are already coming to her defense.
