The gun on the far left is an Argentine Sistema from the last batch that came through what's-their-faces in Louisiana, the ones that raised a stink because they'd been advertised as "NRA Very Good" and were actually "NRA Look Like They Came Off A U-Boat Wreck". We had pre-ordered, like, a dozen of them at CCA, and I felt guilty so I bought the worst-looking one to use as my own 1911 for 'sperimentin' on.

The hammer is spurless because it's part of the Cylinder & Slide "Warp Speed" lockwork; with the Dlask trigger, the gun has about a 3# pull. It's the first trigger job I ever did myself from start to finish. Since the hammer is spurless, I ground down the tang on the frame and grip safety.

I can explain it to you. I can’t understand it for you.

    Welcome.

(I also really like the spurless hammer for the incredible scope in smart-arse responses it offers for when people ask "Well, how do you de-cock it?" )

With the decocker inside the trigger guard. It's noisy, but it works every ninth time like clockwork.

My current favorite is "Point it at something you don't like and pull the trigger."

    1911s in row

I guess I'll use this thread to quit lurking.
From the left, a late 1918 mfg (black army) in original condition, an early 1918 that was apparently rebuilt (rebarrelled, later grips), my son's Kimber, a Randall LeMay model, and a Para Carry (as Tamara said " wouldn't run worth a darn") model that was sold to finance a Kahr P45.
    Great thread BTW
