    Holster crap. I've fired 2 mags from it and just don't see the appeal. Not representative of what I'd want in a 1911 I would use but the potential doesn't feel like it's there.

    the CRG isn't a very attractive gun, nor does it handle really well, IMO. There's an odd relationship with the beavertail and frontstrap. The thumb safety is horrible. Add in the extra heft of the beefed up light rail, and the things that made the 1911 so attractive are gone (slim, points naturally, comfortable wrist positions, etc).

    This is interesting, I have been considering a railed 1911 for a new SSTK USPSA gun but your comments have given me something to think about. I need to put some rounds through one before I pursue this any farther.

    I'm not a railgun user, but you might want to take a look at Colt's new Combat Unit Pistol. Nice upgrades over a standard CRG.
