My main shootin’ .45… I bought it in Feb 2015 and sent it to SACS for a lower rear sight to get POA/POI, short trigger, duty trigger job, carry cuts, and obviously refinish the slide.

The ambi safety started going wonky and it had hammer follow so I sent it for warranty and they destroyed the trigger fixing it but did replace the ambi with a single-side as I requested. I opted for a blued safety as an Armory Kote’d one would have been a longer wait.

When it came back with a horrible (about 7lb) trigger I had my friend and Dept Armorer/pistol smith fix the trigger. From there (maybe 1,000 - 2,000 rounds) it was great until cracking the FPS at about 10k rounds. My Armorer fitted a new EGW. At over 20k the hammer strut broke in half. Springfield replaced it under warranty (Armorer was out due to surgery).

It now has probably 25,000 to 30,000 rounds. It’s worn several different sets of grips and has been a carry gun, training gun, armory example gun, and I’m planning to start carrying it again this week. I haven’t shot it too much in the past several years but I love it… I’m loosely planning to install a 10-8 rear sight and brass or gold bead front.

    Ha!

That's the bar top, and I have other coasters, but Wes's keeps the guns from sliding!

I think I might have come in first at today's match. The best couple shooters didn't show but honestly I actually think I shot the best I've ever shot today. I was a lot less focused on accuracy and picked up some speed without really missing more then usual. I wish I recorded the stage with the spinner. I think I initially hit it with a triple and then a double or 2. I got it over faster than I've ever done.
