Took out my old “WWII” 1911 today. It’s a Remington Rand slide on an old Essex frame. I carried this gun on multiple jumps when I was with the World War 2 Airborne Demonstration team. It was in a M7 shoulder holster as we jumped out of Boogie Baby, an original WWII C-47.
Still a fun gun to shoot on a beautiful day!
I started a thread comparing the two guns in the picture: https://pistol-forum.com/showthread....UL-Armory-Fair
