The first non .Gov/LE gig I worked in literally decades, I was doing some protection work for an organization and one of the additional responsibilities was moving a little bit of money from point A to B every now and then. They hired guys who spent time overseas doing PSD work and similar type work. I dress/look like your average dad with kids, so nobody pays any attention to me and a bag-o-cash.
Fresh off my bench. Highlights:
Colt Govt Series 80 45ACP
Satin Stainless Steel Slide
Carbon Steel frame glass bead blased with Ionbond finish
Ball Cuts
French Border
Re-cut vertical serrations
Custom front and rear sights
Kart Barrel
EGW bushing
Gen Thumb Safety
EGW grip safety
Chen 25LPI gen 2 magwell
Harrison extended mag release
10-8 slide stop (modified for more room in the notch)
Harrison Hammer and sear, EGW disconnector
EGW oversize ejector
Michiguns Extra Stout Plunger Tube
Flat top with Empire serrations
Slide frame and all small parts softened for carry
Pete Single 25LPI front strap checkering and high cut
One pic I left out of the other post showing the extra room the modified slide stop notch has.
I see some things to improve on for sure. But I am please with how it turned out.
Modified slide stop for more room in the notch
That is sexy AF.
That sight picture could knock me over the top re FO!

Thanks man. FYI it’s a .110” front with a .156” U-notch rear. Pretty easy to do with commercial offerings that are already out there. Benefit of making them from scratch (besides all the extra time and energy, ha) is you can get the perfect zero for a given gun/shooter/ammo.
