Foolishly I sold this one last year and regretted it ever since, bought it back and I am happy I did. Does everything I need it to and the BTGS and lack of undercut work well with my hands.

What holster are you using for the 1911?
I’m using a dark star Rigel. It works perfectly with the Dawson rail and the light. It’s better than the Floodlight, for sure. I did have to trim some Kydex for finger clearance, activating the safety, etc. I don’t know how it will work with a frame with integral rails

JM Custom does 1911/railed 1911 with optics cut if you want something to work without a light mounted. It’s a custom though so longer wait.

Switched the factory two piece guide rod for a Wilson GI rod and plug cause the internet told me to and also switched the VZ slims for pachs. We’ll see how it goes.
