I emailed Jim as the build was underway asking him about the French Border, he informed me it would put me over the budget I had given him. So I told him to hold off on doing it. When the gun showed up it had a French Border on the slide and I didn’t pay $1 over my budget, just goes to show the type of guy Jim is.

I haven't posted in this thread for awhile. The WML Pistol is my WC Protector II Commander. The others are my light weight Protector II and Ultralight Carry Commanders. All are extremely accurate pistols. I just haven't gotten over my 45acp bias, yet.

My EDC is the lightweight Hackathorn Special Commander, the top pistol in the pic. It's twin is a steel frame copy for range use. Both in 45acp. I should have gone with the Commander size 1911 years ago. They are a very nice and balanced package.
