I love any custom 1911, but I love those more than most, and there's been some amazing ones in this thread.
So as not to free-load, here's my two current 1911 projects: An Ace conversion slide waiting for its frame, and an STI full-length rail frame waiting for its future as a dedicated .460 Rowland.
Per the PF Code of Conduct, I have a commercial interest in the StreakTM product as sold by Ammo, Inc.
The rear sight blade kept flying off the gun, so I fit a Harrison rear U-notch. I'm a pretty big fan and after listening to Joe Chambers talk about using an 18lb recoil and 23lb mainspring, I adjusted those too. The shooting characteristics of my single stack major gun have improved dramatically.
It prefers a 6:00 hold though. Put a ten round mag through it just for shits and giggles. There's a pretty big reason for why I can't get over the 1911 right there.
