1911 picture thread

For whatever reason, this gun has never worked with eight round magazines. Those are McCormick mags with seven round Metalform followers and Wolff extra power springs.

Ahh, I thought maybe you had Tripp 7 rd mag rebuild kits in them.

This one is an exception.
Lightweight 4" 9mm that I did some work to as a personal 'fun gun'
for informal competitions with the local crew.

"sent out to pature"? Are these an agency's guns and going out of service? What will become of them? If so, what is replacing them? Fascinating.
