Thread: 1911 picture thread

I bought mine used and didn’t pay nearly that much.

I’m of the opinion that it’s a very nice $2000 pistol. I think $3200 is the going price for them these days, and I think they’re way overpriced.

A Baer is $2K and is a POS compared to a Pro. I think they're overpriced at $3200 too, they're comparable to a CQB and would be better at $25-2800.

I bought mine new for $2700 several years ago. I agree it’s a nice 2k pistol.

    Personal Project Pistol

This is a project pistol based on a 1911 course with Cylinder & Slide. Base pistol was a Springfield mil spec. and reliability polishing of internals etc. I have enjoyed working it up to this state.

Probably comparable to a base-model CQB, but for the price point, I would expect no MIM parts, and the Pro has a few.

Properly done MIM doesn’t bother me too much, and the Pro is probably the most tested 1911 ever, but stilll...

The LB Operator is all I took deer hunting today. Loaded with Hornady 220 grain +P Critical Duty. Alas, deer did not cooperate.

Haven't carried this in forever, decided to take it with me today because reasons. It's not 9x19, not double-stack, not TDA...but on observed Veteran's Day it just felt right to carry a 1911.

I snagged a Pro in 9mm for $2k waiting to pay it off. I feel like at the price I got it for it I couldn’t go wrong especially being 9mm.

Back on topic been getting some dry practice in, one thing LB mags are useful for.....

Are your spare mags downloaded one round or does it just look that way because of the picture.

For whatever reason, this gun has never worked with eight round magazines. Those are McCormick mags with seven round Metalform followers and Wolff extra power springs.
