newyork: sorry if I missed it in an earlier post but what can you tell me about that front sight? Is it staked or is it a blended dovetail? Looks staked in that last picture.

First post on this forum; may as well make it some pictures of my favorite 1911.
Finally took this one to the range. I replaced the sear, main, and recoil springs with new Colt part and put Tripp Super 7 kits in the two CMC Powermags. 100% with 100 WWB and 100 Remington JHP.
I haven't shot this pistol, or any 1911 in over 4 years. NOTHING compares!
First shots were from the 25 yard line. 16 rounds freestyle.

Yes, Custom Carry. I think its KG Gunkote. Alchemy high cut the frontstrap and put in the C&S USMC fcg and EGW safety.
Very nice piece!
No customer carry. Just my EDC
