    Checkering is fine but the next class I take I'm bringing a smooth frontstrap gun. My office worker hands were pretty smoked on the second day of shooting 25 lpi checkering.

    Picked it up today. Popped it open to take a look, looks exactly like it did last time I saw it.

    I forgot this pistol had a 19lb mainspring in it. That's not my style but I think Rob put it in there so I left it. The hammer, sear, and disco are the USMC parts and have the indenter marks from hardness testing. Trigger is luscious!

    True. The primary difference being drop in Glock parts actually drop in. Once the 1911 parts are fitted the playing field levels.

    I finally joined the 2-tone club, which is a requirement for all 1911 guys over 50. Mid 1980s Colt Combat Elite worked over by Wilson.
