Thread: 1911 picture thread

Carried my Baer for bear protection, which seemed prudent. There was LOTS of bear sign. We had bears crapping a few feet from our door night and day this weekend. In fact yesterday, I went for a three hour hike with friends and came back to find a fresh pile in front of our place. Dang things were in the trash, on the lawn, on the road, everywhere.

I had the Baer loaded with 250 grain hard cast flat points that clock at 956 FPS out of this gun.

I also had a G21 converted to 10mm with me but mostly rolled with the 1911.

Found a cave close by that looked like it may be a den, but my flashlight was back in my pack , and with rather high activity level in the area I chose to skip "Poking the bear".

There's a place called the moodus noises by my sister's house. Had something to do with the indians hearing demons or something. I crawled down there with my p226 and my hand-held light crapped out when It was getting really tight.

About that time my brother in law who was at the entrance started going on about "my precious".

I carry a surefire handheld now

    I can pee outside.
Out on the property that abuts mine yesterday. There'd been something in the wood yesterday morning that made the dogs mental.

No sign, but still a fun afternoon walk.
