"Occasionally, a particularly good gun finds you. The challenge then is to hang onto it long enough to appreciate what you’ve actually stumbled upon." Now THAT is sig line material par excellence.
And way too true man, way too true. The third real gun I bought with my own money was a Colt 1912 production 1911 that had been worked over by a local pro. Inch and a half at 50, would feed any damn thing that would fit in the mag, loved the H&G 68, trigger to die for and never followed. That thing made me look fine!
Sold it to a guy who thought that if 6.5 grains of Unique was good, then 8.5 must be better!
Youth truly is wasted on the young . . .

Cross post while I have the image handy. My EVO KV9 and the Executive Carry II my dad just got himself to replace it. I like both of these guns a lot, specifically compared to other 1911s.
From my most recent trip across Idaho, to upper Eastern Montana and back.
A solid companion.
I would have felt quite comforted and comfortable. Nice pairing.

Cheap-Fast-Good............pick any two.
Very nice work man. I hate cutting those front sight dovetails! I've never broken one of those tiny little cutters, not yet any way, but it's not for lack of sweating!

Les Baer Custom Carry 1.5" with naked slide, no FCS, and 20 LPI checkering on front strap. LB fitted and blended S&A magwell. And Severns Hard Hat treatment. Going to install a solid LB long trigger soon as the short trigger doesn't work for me.
