Such an awesome thread, I love all the beautiful animals here. My heart goes out to you all and your lost loved ones. Me and the gf had to say goodbye to our beloved Riley in February, that's him riding in the car. About a month ago we decided it was time to open our home and hearts to another 4 legged orphan, and we got Luka, a 2 year old Husky/Ridgeback mix.

Hunting doves. She's fascinated by the old mine shafts common to this area, so I have to watch her to make sure she doesn't go spelunking. There's a fenced-off mine shaft to the upper left of this shot I'd just called her away from.
May be her last September hunt. The heat was hard on her, even though we've been doing daily conditioning. Used most of my water keeping her cooled off, and cut the hunt short.

A Brittany in her element. Nice! We had to put ours down late in 2014. I still miss her keenly especially in the fall when the crisp air and crunch of leaves underfoot reminds me of the many, many hunts we had together.
