My first, and best, springer looked like the first pic of Lucky.
He was good hunting grouse and near perfect working woodcock.
Can't have dogs now due to allergies.
I don't know how severe your allergies are, but Ive heard some dogs are much less problematic. I first heard it in relation to Malamutes and Huskies. They have little dander or oil in their skin, and generally much less dog smell, and that some people that couldn't have dogs because of allergies were OK with them. Don't have a source, but if its true, it shouldn't be difficult to find out. There are likely other breeds with similar traits (Malamutes and Huskies aren't always the best choice of dog for many people or situations).

I've been aware of labradoodles and such. But as a (former) Springer man
can't make the adjustment.
