Be does bear a resemblance to my Rottweiler ridgeback mix I grew up with. His size and coat had me thinking the shepherd abd mastiff. He was listed as a boerboel, but looks distinctly mutt. Someday we might try s DNA test. Right now we are focused on training, he spent his 11 months in a 5x5 pen in Brooklyn, zero training but already making progress.

If you're curious about his breed mix, you could get a DNA test done for $40 or so. I've heard people put it off because they thought it'd be expensive...not sure if that's factoring in for you.
