Well...that happened. I accidentally talked myself into getting a cat from work. It's been at least 15 years since I have had a cat in the house.
By default she is "Carol" I am told for the Brady bunch, but depending on her attitude I might lean more towards Tiger King or Walking dead.
She has been very affectionate so far and is currently purring in my lap. No idea if I am keeping her long term or not.

I think she has already decided that she is keeping you long term.

Welcome home, Maverick. Knew it wouldn’t be long until we had a puppy again. Just didn’t feel like a whole family without one.

So Maverick here, as it turns out (we didn't know this until we picked him up), was born on Nov 19 2022. Our last puppy, Domino, was also born on Nov 19...2003. My wife, who believes in such signs and portents, says we were meant to have him. I'm a bit more skeptical but it is a neat coincidence.

This is what a Sunday at my house looks like. That’s 3 labs, Moose (black lab), Evie (little chocolate), Bochy (big chocolate), and Bane (GSD), all on one couch. Evie just blew out her ACL yesterday chasing down a pheasant so she’s done for the year unfortunately. [ATTACH=CONFIG]100710
