I miss those little stinkers. I’ve had 3 in my life. I have at the moment my second bird dog, a Brittany that is sister to the one that died a year ago, but I think I’d like to have another schnauzer sometime. I know my wife would appreciate going back to no shedding!

ETA: we just did a last call to the yard. Of course, she needed to escort a cat out of her yard. And down the block, into the neighbor’s yard. And into their tree. And then stand there making sure it knows that in a tree is the only appropriate location for cats on this street, thank you very much. At midnight.

Did I mention she was in the neighbor’s yard? Sometimes dogs are brats.

Hey if the damn cat had stayed out of your yard it wouldn’t have been in that situation. I’m on your dog’s side on this one; don’t start none, won’t be none! Neighbors are just collateral damage.

Sasha is officially a member of our household as of yesterday. She is already showing signs of being much more intelligent than my previous GSD/Chow mix and best friend “Rocky”.

New black GSD puppy! Her name is Luna and she’s already proving to be sassy!

If we have to march off into the next world, let us walk there on the bodies of our enemies.

Our own Persephone is the sweetest thing with us and any guests that have visited. She is social, if a bit shy, talkative but not overly so and very friendly. The vets experience, however, is totally different; they refuse to see her unless she has been sedated. Try and "poke n' prod" and she fights like the devil.

    ETA, obligatory image.

Smoky, (my avatar), and Skyler are / were both very social and human friendly as well. They both have / had (in Smoky's case) a propensity to cry when brought into the vet's waiting area. They must've inherited the avoidance of doctors at any cost, (rightly or wrongly), from me.
