I think I posted some pictures of Taw when he was a few weeks old. Here he is a little over 6 months old now and definitely a handful. He is a Deutsch Drahthaar and we got him from a breeder in Bondurant Iowa.

Taw is gorgeous.

Looks so innocent.

Thank you both!!
Deutsch Drahthaars are actually German Wirehaired Pointers. Drahthaars are GWPs that are from a very strict breeding program. I never owned a sporting breed dog before this guy and I had always been told they were “different “ compared to the herding breeds I always worked. That was an understatement! A GSP was considered also, but I like the coat better on the GWP.
My wife has a Weimaraner. He is a couple of weeks older than Taw and is probably the second sweetest, but goofiest dog I have ever had in my life! His name is Arlo and we got him from a breeder just outside of Springfield MO.
I took these this morning. There were some sunflowers in the garden that the frost killed. Arlo was having a great time running around in circles and trying to rip sunflowers out of the ground on the fly.
He had a stick or something he was chewing on here. This is one of his super smart looks here!
My retired Dutchie has a neckerchief so you know he’s #Notahyena
He’s enjoying the sun but looking a little diabolic.
Just a dog chauffeur that used to hold the dumb end of the leash.
