    We've heard that can be an issue with this bread. They anecdotal evidence is that they tend to attach to one person of the opposite sex. Our lady Chihuahua definitely seems to prefer me, so we make her spend as much time with the wife and kids as possible. So far, so good. As long as she has a lap to sleep in, she seems to be fine.

    It's been hard to house train her though. Didn't see that one coming, but that also seems to be common trait with the breed. We're making progress...

    My boxer Ozzy and our neighbor’s retriever having a little fun. Looks like they’re trying to bite each other’s face off but they’re actually best friends.

    [QUOTE=entropy;912017]Max agrees. Or...perhaps a “sun couch”.

    Interesting tidbit.... The stuffed toy he has is one of 3 that he equates to each of our kids. One is off living on his own, the other two are in college. When on the phone, and jf we put it on speaker, he will go grab the toy associated with the sibling we are talking to. Quite amazing. If we tell him “Where’s Nick? Go get Nick!”...he returns with the appropriate toy as well. Start the pressure washer or the lawnmower? He hides. Bring out a rifle or any firearm? His tail won’t stop wagging. He’s very gentle with the toys too. Other stuff he’ll shred and rip out the stuffing. The kids’ ones?...TLC.

    He’s an odd duck!

    This ^^^^ has to be the best thing I've read today!

    Update!

    The one who lives on his own visited for a week. When he left, Max took his displeasure out by chewing the nose off and pulling out the stuffing.

    When confronted of his misdeed, he was fairly ashamed, looking sullen and tucking his ears. He dutifully followed the wife downstairs to the operating room (crafting table with sewing machine) where surgery was performed and said sibling was put back into service. Since then...all good.

    Like I said...odd duck!

    Love these 2 to death, but damn they’ve been expensive this last 30 days. Spent more time in the vets office than I care to. Amazing how much of a PITA a broken toe is for a dog. And then an ER visit for the other one. 🤦*♂️
    Looks like a wiener dog and his enforcer. I hope both are ok now.

    I swear you could set a watch by this dog.
