After a sweaty night at the dojo, one dog climbed into my gym bag to roll on my wrestling shoes. All I saw were 4 black legs flailing around in the bag [emoji38]

The Weim in my avatar once settled down into one of our suitcases when we were packing for a trip. We were wondering where the dog was when we found that he thoroughly enjoyed his new bed.

Meet Miss Annie, younger and larger half sister to the 14yo we lost this spring to liver failure. The breeder had kept her and used her for breeding and hunting, but retired her from puppies this spring and offered her to us, and we drove out and picked her up last month. She’s been a real blessing, and is very intense on birds (and rabbits, but we don’t talk about that since she’s not a beagle or a basset). Can’t wait for September!

All dogs should have a late afternoon sun chair.

When she’s particularly tired Katie sleeps under that chair. You can take the dog out of the country, but you can’t get Lurlene out from under the porch.
