Adopted Friday from a local rescue organization.

According to the rescue organization, he came from an overcrowded shelter and had originally been picked up as a stray. He wasn't chipped and no one claimed him so he went to the rescue folks.
Besides being about 10 pounds underweight, he has some serious flinching and trust issues that indicate that he has been through some rough times. Those days are over and he is already starting to come around.
We have only owned rescues and will continue to do so until we can't. I salute all of you who make the lives of these beautiful animals worth living.
Fantastic pets, every single one. Thanks for sharing them with us.

There's nothing civil about this war.
New English Spotted "Chloe" came home to give my Dutch Blue "Sam" a house mate.
He's a chill sweetheart, she's a banshee.
Luckily they bonded quickly and seem to be friends for life now.

"For a moment he felt good about this. A moment or two later he felt bad about feeling good about it. Then he felt good about feeling bad about feeling good about it and, satisfied, drove on into the night."

The dog absolutely loves Christmas. Most likely because all the kids return home and he’s very attached to us all. I teased him for two weeks pointing to the box beneath the tree and telling him it was his.
Sorry...can’t post the vid. I’ll try again later.
