Oliver aka Ollie our OD (original dachshund) passed away today at the age of 14. He had congestive heart failure and it stopped working. He’s responsible for me liking dachshunds again. I was bitten by one when I was five so I never would have got one but my youngest daughter wanted one. He was the pack leader and will be missed.

Craziest story ever. Im sitting outside a small neighborhood shopping center in my car and on my phone. I keep feeling my car move and I look in my mirrors and never see anything. Finally I look out the drivers window and down and theres this little black dog with her paws on my door and shes pushing on my door. I get out to catch it and it wont come to me. So I go into the store and when I come out the dog is still there, when I open my car door she jumps in my car. No collar, she stinks, unkempt with long nails and tartar buildup on her teeth. I take her to a vet to check for a chip she has one but one number is disconnected and the other number says its not my dog. So I take her to a pet store wash her, get her some food a collar and a leash. Look online and find out shes a Patterdale terrier which Ive never even heard of. Anyway shes mine now and is going to be well taken care of. The crazy thing about all of this is Ive not had a dog since I had to put my Mal down due to old age. Shes exactly what Ive been looking for. Shes asleep next to me on the couch right now.
