Dachshunds are pretty awesome. One thing to be careful of is his back, which you have probably already heard. Mine has had some issues which were attributed to jumping up and down from the bed that I have stopped letting him do. Since healing up, I make sure he gets plenty of exercise and is in a strict diet to keep him as lean as possible.

Yes, Border Collie father and Australian Shepard mother.
Cats are not the only animals that are often more interested in product packaging than the actual products you buy them, apparently.
