Has Anyone Used The .308 40 Round Pro Mag Magazines For AR-10's ?

I know Pro Mag makes many want to projectile vomit at the mere mention of it, but these things seem to get good reviews. I was wondering if anyone here was running them, and if so what kind of luck and durability you're having? It's been my experience Pro Mag's quality is hit or miss. Some have great luck with their mags, while others can't cuss them enough.

Seeing as this is a 100% injection molded product, one would think the quality would be consistent from unit to unit. But you never know with these things. They're cheap enough to where I'm tempted to buy a few. And the fact they'll just be blasting range mags has to factor into it as well. What say you guys?

The 25 round magpul mags have a proven record of reliability and are available on the same page at the same price... Just sayin'

I have a couple of those and more of the 20 rounders. They run well in my MP10 and as Jason says they have a proven record

Pro mag’s reputation aside, the weight of 40 rounds of .308 is enough to make them unwieldy. If I had a desire to make my AR-10 into a poor imitation of a squad support weapon I would just get the Magpul D50 Drum.

I have the 50 round .308 Magpul Drum. They're really heavy, not to mention expensive. But the Magpul 25 rounders do have a good reputation. There is no getting around that. I might take a chance on a couple of these 40 round jobs from Pro Mag. For $20.00 each, how bad can they be?
