    Retro Cool...Rangemaster-Inspired Shotgun

If you ever attended Rangemaster classes in Memphis at former Elvis’ Raquetball Court, or at the FTU, you probably saw the laminated visual aids that demonstrate the sidearm/shotgun nomenclature on the walls of the classrooms there.

I was cleaning out my parts bin for a big FS thread, and found enough parts to build this from an old Wingmaster.

I like it. Light, handy, and I think the sights should work ok, although I’m not used to seeing that much of the barrel.

I feel like 80’s era Rutger Hauer swinging this boom stick around. I’m not gonna lie...it’s a good feeling.

Did you cut the stock down a bit? Looks a touch shorter to me but hard to tell.

Love it. Vent rib, ghost rings, pachy forend, even the wood stock. If you ever decide you want to go old school synthetic, I may have an old Speedfeed stock someplace that might fit, I'd have to check though.

But it's so perfect, why ruin it?

Exactly how I'd want mine except I might add a Andy Langlois butt stock ammo holder.

Where did you get the vent rib barrel with front sight? Custom?

Sherm, you are definitely the coolest dentist I've ever had the pleasure to have known.
(Aside from that ammo / ballistics guy. Don't wanna forget him. )

(And I've known a few, and some weren't a particular pleasure but that's another subject entirely.)

There's just something about SD shotguns wearing short VR barrels and wood furniture.... ;-)

    Very nice!
