I'm not in the photo. This was sent to me earlier today. The snake was allegedly killed in far West Texas this week. I didn't think a rattlesnake could get that big.

"Rich," the Old Man said dreamily, "is a little whiskey to drink and some food to eat and a roof over your head and a fish pole and a boat and a gun and a dollar for a box of shells." Robert Ruark
It just looks huge because he is holding it far away from him, but close to the camera

Aw, c'mon now, little people can kill snakes, too.

Not another dime.
Interesting timing, as I just sent Darryl a picture of my BUG a few hours ago.
Likes pretty much everything in every caliber.
What part of west Texas?
GJM, what S&W is that? No lock?
Rattlers can get pretty big. I've seen a few that were 6-feet in length. That snake looks pretty fat - my guess is it probably just had a decent sized meal before being killed (hence why it is "fat").
Reminds me of some of the stuff in the ragequit thread. At least buzzworms have the courtesy to tell you to fuck off first. Except when the don't. Assholes.
I was once doing my security checks at work and I go up to this one door, there was a short metal staircase with a landing to get up to it. It was dark so I shined the lights of my truck to check for anything before I got out, nothing. I go up and check the door turn around and go down two steps and I hear it. Motherfucking rattler had slithered up behind me and was right at the base of the stairs. I yelled and jumped backwards up the two steps back onto the landing while that thing nonchalantly went under the staircase. I ended up jumping over the side.
