Magpul shotgun stock...worth it?

I’m ordering some parts for my 590. Does anyone know if I can attach a vertical M-Lok 1” flashlight mount directly to the Magpul forend and not have the flashlight touching the barrel? Below is the type of mount I’m thinking of using.

Given that I just picked up two used wingmasters I probably gotta get at least one Magpul stock.
